I’ve recently started  freelancing for a well-known Toronto blog as their newest health & fitness writer. I’m a runner and have been working out all of my adult life, so this newest challenge is a fantastic opportunity to workout for free (amazing), try out cool new classes, and then come home and write about it.

This morning I checked out Harmony Fitness, one of Toronto’s largest group fitness centres and tried out their popular TreadSanity class. I thought that since I’m a runner, this class would be easy peasy, instead I left their studio panting, dripping in sweat and begging for water — TreadSanity kicked my ass!

Their class is an hour long, and you and 15+ others run your little hearts out on a treadmill while an instructor and heartpumping music encourage you to run harder and faster. Although, I’m not a fan of the treadmill (I only really use it when warming up at the gym), this class allowed me to work on my form and speed.

Are you a runner? Do you workout? If you know of any cool fitness classes in the Toronto area, drop me a line so I can go torture myself and then blog about it.
